Our Vinyl Acetate Monomer (VAM) business was acquired from BP in 2008 and brings another exciting product range to the INEOS Enterprises portfolio.

The business is based on a 250ktpa VAM plant at Saltend, Teesside (UK), which was commissioned in 2002 and is accredited to ISO14001. The new operations are a complementary fit with the existing portfolio, technologies and expertise of INEOS Enterprises and the business has well placed assets, complemented by a very experienced operations team and high safety, health and environmental standards.

VAM produced by INEOS Enterprises is used in a variety of industrial processes for applications such as paints; furniture and flooring adhesives; textiles, clothing and footwear; paper coatings; packaging; and safety glass for cars and buildings.

In addition to the VAM business, INEOS Enterprises also operates the world's largest ethyl acetate plant, also at Saltend, on behalf of INEOS Oxide.
